Welcome to Tiffin University and the Office of Adult Student Services! We have been serving adult learners for over l00 years. We realize that you are a vital component of our diverse student population and the educational experience of our community.

We know that by sharing your "real world" life experiences in the classroom everyone will benefit. An enriched exchange of learning takes place as older and younger students interact with faculty and with each other.

You will be greeted by experienced advisors who understand your concerns of transferring to a different school. They will assist you in completing the admissions process, filing for financial aid, registering for classes, transferring credits, constructing a plan to finish your degree, and making a connection with other adult students. Non-degree students, transient students, and senior citizens are also enrolled through this office.  

Former Tiffin University students who wish to return must apply for readmission through this office. Readmission Application

The Office of Adult Student Services serves all part-time students, regardless of age, and full-time students who are balancing their education with careers, family responsibilities, and other life commitments.

Each semester a course schedule is mailed to all students and registration for classes may be made via fax, email, mail, phone, or in person.  Advisors will also assist students in mapping out a plan for graduation based on classes needed to complete a degree.


Transfer Credits

To facilitate the transfer of credits for those students who have attended community and technical colleges, transfer guides are available. These guides establish which courses taken at another institution will be equivalent to Tiffin University courses.

Transfer guides have been developed with several area two-year colleges:

· Terra Community College

· Marion Technical College

· North Central State College

· Owens Community College

· Lorain Community College

· Cuyahoga County Community College

Evaluation of transfer credit from other accredited institutions may also be requested. Evaluation of transfer credit may be done prior to the student making formal application to Tiffin University.
