Meet Anthony

When TU football player Anthony enrolled as a freshman marketing major, he was aware of the importance of career planning.  Immediately he worked with the Career Development office to explore his personal and professional goals.  Anthony also knew the importance of student involvement and work experience.  As a TU Resident Assistant he gained practical leadership and problem solving skills.

Through his involvement on campus and using the Career Development Resume Writing Workshops, Anthony secured an internship with a multi-national corporation.  During the internship he incorporated the academic knowledge he gained in the TU classrooms with hands on working experience. Anthony feels it was the internship that helped him secure several job offers after he attended the TU Annual Job Fair on campus.

Meet Mary Ann

Mary Ann enrolled as undecided student with Tiffin University.  Immediately she contacted the Career Development Office to use the online career resource tool to help identify her goals and values.  With the help of the assessment tools, she decided to major in English.

Mary Ann maintains a 3.96 GPA while participating in Student Government, band, and the student newspaper.  During her junior year, she chose to take advantage of the Mock Interview Days on campus as well as the graduate school information. After evaluating her career goals, Mary Ann has decided to pursue graduate school.

Meet Todd

A childhood goal, Todd always wanted to work for the federal government. When Todd decided to attend TU, he knew he wanted to be a law enforcement major.  During his tenure at TU, he was active in ROTC program and the Sigma Omega Sigma Fraternity.

As a junior, Todd participated in the Washington Internship Program.   The Program is a combination of work and study while the student is placed in our nation’s capital for a semester.  Todd had the opportunity to network with several different government and private organizations. Upon graduation, Todd accepted an offer with the United States Marshals Service.

Meet Charles

Charles chose Tiffin University for the small, friendly campus.  When he arrived on campus, he joined the choir and participated in intramural sports. Unsure of his career and long term goals, he turned to the Career Development Office. He also had assistance from the Office to find an on-campus job in the Book Store.

Using the on-line career resource tools, Charles identified his interests and strengths. He decided to major in Corrections and completed an internship with the Ohio State Patrol.  The internship helped apply the academic knowledge he learned in his Tiffin University courses, with real world scenarios and problems in the field.  Through his contacts he made while working in his internship, after graduation from Tiffin University Charles had arranged a fulltime position with the Ohio State Patrol.
